2018: Chegsi Rennovation

Over the years we have visited Mabilong, worked collaboratively on weaving projects, shared stories and raised funds to help the weavers of Mabilong. In 2018 we improved the chegsi, or washing area. People use the fresh spring water to drink from, wash their clothes, wash dishes, and bathe in. However, during the rainy season, the water becomes contaminated and people can no longer use it for washing and drinking. Therefore, we raised funds by selling laga in order to build a shelter around the chegsi so that people in Mabilong can use it every day, year round.
